A friend's mother is too frail to live on her own. Your friend must decide whether to put his mother in a nursing home or to have her move in with the family. Your friend has a spare room and 2 school-aged children but both he and his wife work full-time.
I am agree he should put his mother in a nursing home

In my opinion they should put their mother in the nursing home because she too frail to live on her own and they not enough the time to take care her. In the nursing home they have a medicine and medical devices better they will know if she has a problem. I think the first time she will very upset but she can making friends and have a people talking and take care her that is better than she stay alone at home.
I know, it is so sad when your relatives can't living with you together but that's every normal in Australia. of course They can put their mother in the nursing home but they should talk with her about that. How about her thinking and they should explain for her know " why do they make that ". And than if they have free time they can visit her and go to holiday with her i think she will understand.
